QOTD: What do you use to carry your sock knitting with you when you go somewhere, where you know you'll have to wait?

Thanks rorygilmore. The yarn is flotte socke baumwolle, I handdyed it. A week ago it was still this mess:

QOTD: I use a little bag, that fits a pair of socks, 100 gram yarn, a little notebook, a pencil, my sissors, tapemesure, some stitchmarkers and of course my knitting needles (20 cm dpns or a circular needle) and a tapestry needle. It's small enough to fit in almost every bag I own and large enough to carry all I named above.

good morning KALers
I finished a Jaywalker last night but cannot take the pics off the disk 'til my husband's computer is free.
I'm glad I took the advice of a kind soul at my LYS who told me to make the larger size since these socks have hardly any "give".
I'm just about done with the ribbing on the second one. REEEEEALLY lofty goal... finish the second one before next weekend.
here's wishing all of you some quality sock knitting time this weekend!

thanks jberry . I've been Airborneing like crazy since Tuesday. I think I have it under control now. it hasn't gotten any worse, and aside from the major nose-blowing first thing in the morning, I feel ok today so far.

crying!
I'm so because I had to everything I knit yesterday, somehow I decided to count my sts on needle 1, which I do occasionally (not often enough) and realized I'd lost 3 sts... where So I had to back 36 rows! I'm so I just had to complain to someone who'd understand.
I told dh and he said, that's not what your supposed to do, you're going the wrong way---o not the response I wanted. And I knew y'all would understand. That's all the knitting I'd gotten done yesterday + 2 rows that I did today.
ok sorry for the rant, I just had to get it off my chest...now to figure out where I am on the pattern and try again.

btw: think I'm smart enough to put in a life line? yes, but I'm too lazy to do so, darnit.

JBerry, I can SO commiserate! I think I have my socks back to where they were last week. I've done SO much frogging on them! I feel your pain!

Y'all need to check out these socks that Stephanie Pearl McPhee knit. Talk about complicated!

Good Afternoon Socksters!!

dotty~ where did the picture of Mike go? I seen it but then I had to leave the computer, came back to comment, and couldn't find it...was very touching

Gina~ YAY for design features ...I hope your hand feels better today

Lieke~ Pretty colors!! It looks great...

Jackie~ Miss you!!

Carla~ We need pictures of the Hemlock

Jodi~ can't wait to see the pictures!! I haven't tried them before cause of reading where some make them and then to small ...I'm to lazy to make a sock fit lol...

Julie~ I'm sorry you had to frog your sock!! That stinks! I hope you get to knit on it today...

QOTD~ Well I have a bag in the car that holds a dishrag...that is for waiting on the bus...I do have a larger purse that I will change to (did this back when dh was going to the dr) and I could fit my knitting on one of the sides...Now I have Dotty's bag for my sock knitting (and I haven't been anwhere to take it yet) and mom got me the total tote for Christmas that I toook to charity knitting and it carries a ton..even my options case!!

I kinda hate to post this knowing now of Julie's sockamania state right now ...so Julie don't look!!

First Sockamania sock of Feb.
Size 1 Magic Loop
Wooly Treasures yarn from Etsy in Ruby Slippers
Change the heel to Sherman's Short Row Heel
Stinky picture cause this sock is hard to photograph with the lace...maybe when I finish them both we can get a better shot...I wanted to show you guys that the hearts go all the way around starting on the leg...but didn't get any good ones of that...even had Isaiah try who always takes a good picture

I hope you all have a great day of sock knitting!!
