I believe I am the next knitter in line, but no, I've not received it.

WooHoo!!!
WooHoo, the blanket is here!

I was so excited when I glanced out the window and saw the postman making his way up my walk with a box.
Traci~aka~Papergirl included two lovely skeins of yarn and chocolates (thank you, Traci!).

Traci, I am so sorry about your husband's mom passing. It was a very sweet thing you wrote about her in the journal.

Speaking of the journal, I can hardly wait to pour myself a cup of hazelnut flavored coffee, settle into my comfy chair, and read through the entries.

I apologize for my lack of picture posting abilities here (as in, I don't know how!), but if you'll click onto my blog, you can see pictures of the blanket in today's post there.

It really is, Sandy. As I pulled it out of the box, I thought to myself "how neat would it be to get to KEEP this? ". It's so soft and colofrul. Someone's going to get their socks blessed off!

I agree. I tell ya....I REALLY need to get in gear, and make one of these beauties for myself. It would be silly not to.

It's still here in Texas. I have been sick with the flu all week. This is beginning my 6th straight day of being sick. I don't remember when I've ever felt this bad for this long.

I started off with a bang, knitting last Thursday night (a week ago), Friday night, and just a little on Saturday. Saturday night, I went to bed feeling bad. By Sunday morning, I was really sick. Every single night when I go to bed, I think to myself, "I will surely be better by tomorrow", and yet it hasn't happened yet. I know one thing. I'll never skip my flu shot again!

I had really intended to already have it in the mail by now, but I'm holding out hope that I'll feel better in time to work on it some more before my two weeks have maxed out. If not, I'll put it in the mail anyway.

Don't beat yourself up too much about not getting a flu shot this year. It didn't protect against most of the strains going around.

Hope you are feeling better soon!
