My doctor told me once that if gold turns your skin black it means you have an iron deficiency. I don't know what that would have to do with tomatoes, but just something to think about.

OTN: Log Cabin Afghan, Aran Blanket Baby Afghan, Manos del Uruguay afghan;
Future WIP: A sock. Any sock.

My fingers always turn black when I eat tomatoes. I think my mom said it was the acid in the tomatoes. It has been years for me that this has happened. All I could think of was I was on a salsa kick. I will ask my doctor the next time I go. Silly me I am on a three month visit with him. Oh so good to get to an age that they want ya to go every three months. Good thing that he did. He had to put me on Zorco for my cholesterol! It was in the 300's Boy he wanted it down then and now. Well it is now back to were it should be. I love my doctor, he keeps my head on straight. So I will ask him about the iron and see if that helps.

Happy Knitting

I'm allergic to certain metals (nickel for sure, but I also think possibly steel, oddly enough) so I've had all kinds of odd things happen when I wear the wrong watch or ring. I rarely wear jewelry because almost everything I own is very expensive and I tend to loose things.
I've had friends who drain batteries and wreck watches. My mom slowly does so, as in her watch will work for about a year but it slowly looses time. I had one friend who would drain any alkaline batteries, such as those in her CD player.

The dust thing sounds awesome. I wish I had someone who could dust just by standing in a room.
