My first knitted toy- sock monkey of course
I'm pretty excited to have finished my first knitted toy that I just had to share. It's actually my first 'real' project anyway besides an easy scarf and a bit of an oddball blanket.

This sock monkey is for my 6 yr old son. The pattern had a scarf instead of the cape, but my son is such a superman/batman/anythingsuperheroman junkie that I couldn't resist. The cape was completely made up by my newbie self so dont laugh too hard. I also decided to add fun fur to his head instead of the pattern's plain white yarn. I think it gave him a little more character.

Please excuse the picture quality. My digital camera broke so I had to use my cell phone.

Because I'm a new knitter I could use some improvement in the seaming and finishing.

I'm so glad to be done with him. I cant wait to suprise my kiddo with it tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me share!

That is fantastic and I love the cape. My grandson would love one of those. He is a superhero freak also and he loves stuffed animals of all kinds.
