I did show her right away as I finished while I was at work on my lunch break so I took it over to her and showed her. She was happy to see it being put to good use and I think it is one of the reasons she gave it to me was she knew I would use it.

Nice. I like the placement of the black ribbon or whatever it is a few inches from the top, and I like the picot edges. You did a nice job. Your DD is a cutie.

The black strip is simply a strip that I crocheted and laced it through. I thought it added just that little something to dress it up a little bit.
