Help with first row of stitching

Hello, first let me tell you all how great this place is. I have found so much useful stuff to help me out. Ok I am JUST learning to stitch, only for about a week!! So forgive me if I get some of the lingo wrong! I am still only practicing, my problem is I do the cast on, (from the video, thnx) and continue with about 6. Switch to my left hand and start to go through the loops and do all of that, but when I get to the last one, which is the first cast on, i get a big loop when I get it on the right needle. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any info would be great. Hope everyone can understand what I am TRYING to say. Thanks
