knitting on 4 dpns
I just learned to use DPNs and I am wondering how others position theirs.

I have the needle I am working off of with both ends on top of the other needles. This means that every time I come to the next needle, I have to rearrange them so both ends of the one I am using are on top. I assume most people have them overlapped and have one end on the bottom so that you can just go around and around without adjusting every time. I tried to do it that way but it feels awkward and I was getting ladders...

Any advice, or am I just a klutz?
