I may not be able to jump right in when we start up again, but I certainly will keep up with the forum and blog to see how they are all coming along.

August September and October will be real busy for me, but hopefully during the end of the year, I can start to pitch in again. I now want to learn to crochet the borders so that I can help with ALL aspects of these blankets!! Ugh, like I need another addiction. haha.

Go Southeast!!

So glad to have you with us! Even if it's not right away. I can't crochet off of a chain, but I can on the blankets.

Here is a site that helped me learn... http://www.nexstitch.com/v_single_crochet.html

August will be here before we know it. Do we need to be getting a list together of blanket names/themes and a list of knitters that will be working on them? Just curious!

I actually came up with some more today... Post any ideas you guys have as you have them, even if we can't start them right then, I'll add them to the spreadsheet I'm keeping so we can make sure we do them.

Autumn Leaves
Little Boy Blue
Little Bo Peep
Cupcakes
Pudding (Or since we are the south, we could say puddin' )

Are we getting needles from Shandeh or will we be providing the needles?

I have a few, you can use ones you have if you want, and Shandeh is sending me some, so I can send needles anyone who needs them. just let me know what size you would prefer.

Does anyone know how to make the buttons?

I love puddin'
blanket ideas I've had:
M&Ms
Smurfy
Lucky Charms
Primary colors
the patriotic ones were very cool
diagonal rainbow - a big granny's favorite dishcloth
Camo
the neon one have been great too
spring in the garden
birds
fruit salad
crayons
ocean I would love to do a ocean themed one with feather and fan pattern throughout. I'm pretty sure they did a preemie blanket like this and it was gorgeous
Finding Nemo
Little Mermaid
Sunset
