I'm so excited to read that...I seen the picture earlier in a fast sweep of the forum and thought about the little boy...I love the blanket and think he is the perfect fit for it...you are all so very very sweet

I'm going to have the kids make Austin and Ben cards tomorrow...I'm also going to try and see if I can figure out a granny square for the blocks they are gathering...you can also do a knit square (the thread is in the charity forum)...I also thought about getting a box together this week full of coloring books, crayons, paper, magazines...just things they can look over while at the hospital...I don't know rabbitrescuer, it's just so sad

Ok off to work on a granny square (or at least try)

Christine the blanket turned out so nice, warm, touching and cute, I am sure it will bring comfort for the family at this time.
I agree it is wonderful that KH can give at times like this.

I can't take the credit. It is the efforts of our whole group that make our blankets so full of love. It was the efforts of six knitters in our group that turned out this magnificent blanket. I only knit six inches and then made five phone calls asking permission to donate the blanket. The real credit goes to the generous and kind hearted knitters who made such a lovely blanket and then wholeheartedly agreed to donate it to Austin.

It's time for one of those questions from a new sock knitter.

So, I started my second pair of socks, and I am actually using a size 3 needle instead of a 6. And I am using some of the cool yarns that stripes as you knit. But when you are knitting a pair of socks how do you get the patternof the stripes to be the same on both socks.
What I am doing is starting on sock on two circulars, I knit so far on the first sock, then I work on the other one on another set of needles, work on it to the next step then switch back to the other. So in the end both socks get firsted at the same time.
Is there a way to keep the color pattern of the stripes the same? Or, do I have to have two skeins of yarn to work from?
