there's one that's $350 (second from bottom) Dh said that's ridiculous!!! & that the $97 was ridiculous too.

ok I like this one lots too and it's $67 & after shipping & my paypal credit it'd only be $48

Julie,
I went n took a peek at those n OMG.... those are some awesome looking spindles. I really, really, really like that tibeten one with the little gems in it n stuff. That one is gorgeous.
I think that those ones with the big $$$ are the ones that has 24K gold in the design. I like that one with the red dragon too!

Our sales tax is 7 something % in my hometown. In Aus, there isn't any, which was a pleasant surprise and took some getting used to. I just automatically figure out how much the item REALLY costs including tax.
Any other midwesterners out there!? Did anyone get any damage in the last couple of days? My area is pretty well battered, but things are getting cleaned up.
Those spindles are AMAZING! I only have my homemade one. Wish I had an extra $100 for a cool one like that.

On the sock front, I taught DH to do short row heels tonight! He's making me a pair of socks and has both of them done up to the heels and now one heel done! I'm so proud of him. I even taught him the double-wrap technique which gets rid of holes.

The wanderer has returned. I got in about two hours ago. I am dead tired and will be going to bed shortly, perhaps I won`t come out for a day or two, LOL!!! Trapped in a trailer with an ADHD eight year old and a five month old puppy, and just little old me to run the show, cook, clean, and make sure a good time was had by all! I need my bed now. Will check in tomorrow!!! Just wanted to say that I`M BACK!!!

I'm from the midwest, but nowhere near Texas (assuming you meant Austin by Aus). We've had some pretty nasty storms up here this summer, but not too bad lately. At least not compared to a month ago, when half of Iowa was under water!
I got called today for an interview at a local daycare. The interview went so well, and I love the place so much! I even got to take a tour, and it just seems like such a fun place to work. They said they would discuss it tonight, and give me a call tomorrow, but there was a lot of talk about what hours I'd be working, availability, and pay, so it sounds pretty hopeful! Wish me luck!!

Just ask DH what he spends on race car parts, that $97 won't even come close I bet!! They are very pretty!
Welcome back Christine! You now need a vacation from your vacation!

To all that have a Michaels Crafts near by. Before going to Michaels stop by the web site:
http://www.michaels.com/coupons/
When you use this link it will take you to page that looks like:
Index of /coupons

Click on the link that looks like the "071408" above. This number will change and is the date for the coupon.
This coupon may also work at JoAnn Fabrics and A.C. Moore if you have those in the area.
