Second side of V Neck pull over
I am working on a baby pull over with a v neck. The instructions were to put half of the stitches on holder and then knit (decreasing) to the shoulder, cast off. Then it says to "REJOIN" at the second half and do the same.

QUESTION: When I cast off at the shoulder line of the first half, I cut the yarn. In order to begin knitting the second half I must have a new yarn (there is no yarn hanging from the stitches that were set aside). In order to start the second half do I just use the yarn from the ball? Or, did I do something wrong when I cast off at the shoulder--should I not have cut THAT yarn tail?

As always--thank you!

You just start using the yarn from your ball It was correct to
bind off and cut the yarn. Just leave a long enough tail hanging
when you rejoin it so it can be woven in later.
