It sure turned out great. I can't believe you just did that on the fly. That is way beyond me, I can do a scarf without a pattern but that's about it. LOL It looks great.

Very, very nice -- I can only echo what everybody else said. It looks awesome, the color is great, and no one would ever know it was your first sweater!

Aren't top-down sweaters great? I love how you can try them on as you go to make them fit the way you want them to.

You can wear that sweater with pride now, and when anyone asks you about it you can tell them (in the words of Stephanie Pearl-McPhee) "It was a challenge, but I did it."

It's perfect! Color, fit, nice even stitches, ribbing. Doncha love that top down method? You have to keep us posted - bet you get some great comments when you tell folks you made it. You'll be doing cables and fair isle before we know it.
