i have finished three slippers for my family. next i plan to knit a cardigan for myself. it has formed in my mind for a long time.

Finished two pumpkins. I decided for various reasons that I didn't like the pattern I had post earlier so I created my own. Here's the first one. I posted it in What'cha Knittin' as well.

I'm going to be learning to knit soon..Are snowflakes hard to do?

Snowflakes are a lace design, so they would be very difficult for a beginner. It's best to stick with basic stitches like garter stitch, stockinette, seed stitch, or simple ribbing when you're just starting out.

I still haven't picked a stocking pattern. None of them feel like the right one. I think I might go to Cottage Yarn this week to look through the patterns they have there.

I did start something to make our home look nicer for the holidays though. I cast on to make a new bathroom rug! I'm using two strands of worsted weight cotton yarn throughout, so it will be nice, soft, cushy and warm on our cold tile floor this winter.

In addition to working on the bathroom rug, I'm making some Halloween treats for my piano students. I wanted to make a little glowing ghost with my Bernat Glow in the Dark yarn, but I didn't like any of the patterns I found online. So, I designed my own.

I was thinking of you this morning as I looked at my bathroom rug. How far have you gotten with yours? I'm going to have to do something about replacing my store bought one with something with darker colors since it shows the volcanic dust so much. Someday I hope to knit one that I can throw in the washer & dryer.

I got behind on everything else to make snowflakes for an event at church. I had to laugh because they ended up not needing them. Oh, well! I have 24 crocheted & knit snowflakes to give to people for Christmas. I like the patterns so well I'm going to be making some more.
