FO - Granny Square Afghan

I made this for a lady at work for her grandson. I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in Light Blue, White and Antique Teal.



I really do Love this Yarn!! Needless to say she was thrilled with it and wants to keep it for herself

I'm gonna check out that yarn. I'm using LB's Vanna's Choice now - knitting. It splits. It did more than the usual amount of fraying when I kitchenered. Thanks for the tip.

I Love This Yarn is great to use and no splitting. I quit using Caron's Simply Soft because of that. This finished product with I Love This Yarn is soft to boot!!

Granny Square blankets and afghans are commonly made of multiple squares joined together. This one looks like it should have a Balco brand name on it.

What is the size fo the finished afghan? I particularly like the stitch pattern; is it the woven stitch? (I find it is also sometimes call a granite stitch).

Here is the link to the pattern I used. I didn't measure the finished product. I was just doing three rounds of each color until it looked big enough. I guess it was big enough!!

It is a wonderful afghan. The stitch does looks much like the woven (a.k.a granite) stitch except (can you guess) it is BIGGER! LOL
