Julie, no shopping for me today, but MIL wants to go tomorrow. We'll see! I usually buy bras at Marshall's.

Violet, sounds like you have a good thing going with your dad! Sounds like a good guy! WhAT A PIC!!!!

Dustina, answered prayers!!! YAY!!!!!

We cut a Christmas tree today--just a little one--and decorated the house for Christmas. I'm glad it's done.

Can I vent a minute? I spent HOURS going through patterns on Ravelry finding ones my MIL would like, opening tabs on Firefox of the ones I thought might look good on her. Then my FIL did some web browsing, and even though I specifically said, DON"T CLOSE THE WEB BROWSER! What did he do???? He closed the browser! GRRRRRR!!!!

O Gina don't you wanna smack him?! I have been there too, sorry. Can you maybe check your history to see if you can find some of them again, course all the ones will come up again that you didn't like too, but it might not take as long?

Hi everyone!

I'm so tired from work because we were supposed to have 3 of us closing and one girl went home at 8 and then from 8-9 we sold another $800 worth of clothes, so we were quite busy cleaning up. I didn't get home until 10:30 and I left the house just after 11 this morning. Long day for me, so just a quick message.

I hope everyone in the US had a lovely Thanksgiving. It always seems like your holiday is too close to Christmas, but that's life, right?

Julie- I LOVE sushi. I agree with Jess about the cooked ones if you're not feeling adventurous. I love salmon rolls and I find they have a nice smooth flavour. I also love white tuna. If you want to have something good that's not sushi, try tempura. It's battered veggies or shrimp and it's fantastic. How nice of your mom to take you to lunch. Makes me miss my mom.

Dustina- So glad your kitty is home. I can't imagine how devestated you were. I would be worried sick. I don't think our Lucy is smart enough to cut it out there!

Gina- Do they all do that!? Josh does that to me too and I want to smack him. Usually it's when I'm loading a video or something. I think they take special classes on how to annoy us.

Christina- Boots looks adorable in his outfit.

Chris- I hope DSWMBO feels better!

Hi Jess, Lady Vi, Sue, Karina etc.

QOTD: I usually buy my bras at a store here called La Senza. I often wait until they're on sale, and I have one of their cards that gives me an extra 10%, so sometimes I'll only pay about $8 for a bra. I'm very picky about the style I wear too. Not all of them are comfortable.

I had a meeting with a lady at Primerica Financial today about working there. I won't tell you what happened, but I'd like to hear what anyone/everyone has heard about Primerica.

YAY DUSTINA!
Gina, totally with you... this is why my mom is not allowed on my laptop. She has her own, tho, so it doesn't come up much.
I did something stupid this week. I've had my mom's sewing machine at my dorm making blankets. Monday night I put both cords in the opening between the base and the whole upper mechanism thing... Do you know what I mean? Well, that's where the cord for the foot fits when it gets packed up. Usually we put the power cord in the pocket in the back of the cover, but I have scissors, thread, and pencils filling it up. Well, my friend Mike was visiting and when we left for dinner he carried the machine to my car for me. The end of the foot cord fell out but I didn't think anything about it until last night when I wanted to work more on Teenie's blanket... and there was only one cord. The foot one.
I retraced my steps, but of course three days later nothing to be found. So now I'm searching the web for a replacement. The only power cord I can find is for a Viking 1. It looks like it may be interchangeable... does anybody know? (also asking in the off topic forum...)
(NM found a place that sells the right part...)

Ann: A friend of mine and her hubby are working for Primerica. They both really like it. They got married last September and have now moved to New Brunswick to open their own Primerica office. I will phone some time this weekend and find out how they are doing working with that company and then let you know. Take care and don't overdo too much. There is a flu bug going around and the easiest time to catch it if you are overtired or run down!

Violet

Now that you have an external drive you might want to use it also a a back up drive. I use a utility called Allwaysync (allwaysync.com) and it is free. You can set it to sync specific folder so your important files are backed up.

I use it on my Thumb Drive (U3) and keep my knitting patterns and files on it. If I'm surfing at work I can save the PDF to my thumb drive and then sync with my laptop at home.

(U3 thumb drives are designed to run programs from the thumb drive. I have a copy of Firefox on one of my thumb drive. This allows me to maintain one set of bookmarks on the thumb drive. There are then available at work / telework / home.)

Happy Knitting
