I've knit for years, and only just now decided to try working with a second color


Does anybody know of any small projects that would be good practice?

Hello!

Do you want to make something with stripes, where you just change color on the ends, or would you like to do something with changing colors in the middle of a row (like stranded knitting or intarsia)?

Knitty has 3 fair isle tam that use 2 colours. I made one with a solid and a variagated yarn. Came out really cool. It was my first fair isle project.
