Just thought I'd update you one more time. Harvey needed much more attention than our home could offer so I found a small dog rescue called Lhassa Happy Homes. The founder was really nice and I brought Harvey to a volunteer near my house. I miss him, but I know they will find him a good home. I checked up on him recently and he seems really happy with his new foster mommy. Plus he has a few other doggies to play with at her home so he isn't so lonely. My kitties just DID NOT want to play like he did Harvey's favorite stuffed toy (my DS's stuffed gorilla from a ER visit years ago) went with him. Oh - and they are keeping the name Harvey for him BTW - here's a few pics of him for those who would like to see what that cutie patootie looked like

Its wonderful of you to go to such lengths to find a good home for Harvey. I have a soft spot for shih tzus, as I have one myself. A friend of mine got a dog from a rescue, and they do a great job of screening to insure a good match. I'm sure Harvey will be very happy.

Awww, he looks so much like my Sammy (we had him put to sleep in November).
I'm so glad you were able to find a good home for him!

He's such a little cutiebug! Wish I lived close to you, he would fit in well with my dogs.
I'm sure he will find a happy and loving home. I still can't believe his owners haven't looked for him and found him.

If one of mine went missing I don't know what I'de do, other than search high and low for them.
