need help with youtube

How does one go about connecting to youtube. Every time I try to download(upload?) a site that is supposed to connect me, my browser cuts me out. I had it on my old 'puter but this new one won't let me connect.

Should I connect to mozalla and try from there?

Youtube is entirely web based, you go to the site, click on a link to a video and it should start downloading then playing. Sometimes it takes a while, depending on the speed of your connection.

Are you saying that if there is a link to something on Youtube in another site, and you try to click on it, it doesn't work?

Yes, something like that, but it happens at the utube site too. I get the cannot connect to website message. I think my popup blocker is too sensitive or something.
