Hi once again, I'm knitting a baby blanket and find myself unable to figure the next few stitches out. Here's how the pattern reads:
K6, K2 tog, YO, K1, YO, [slip 1, K1, PSSO], * K5, K2 tog, YO, K1, YO, slip 1, K1, PSSO; repeat from * across to last 6 sts, K6.
I have done up to the YO, K1, YO part. I know how to do yarn overs, but what I don't understand is how to do the stuff in . When you do a yarn over, you just wrap the yarn over the needle, but don't knit the next st, right? So, I do YO, K1, YO...what then? Do I knit 1 before I slip 1? I don't think so, cuz the pattern doesn't say that. If I slip 1 (as if to knit) then my yarn is in front of the slipped stitch which makes the K1 stitch a P1, right? So, something isn't right.
Can anyone explain this to me? The afghan I'm working on is the Decked In Diamonds from "Our Best Knit Baby Afghans".
I appreciate any and all help I get.
