Bitty Baby Doll measurements

Has anybody got an AG Bitty Baby doll in their house. I am planning on knitting some doll clothes but need to know the measurement around the middle (waist). The size I was given just doesn't sound right. Thanks in advance.

My daughter's Bitty Baby measures 11.5 inches around the waist with the tape snug but not squeezing the stuffing. Bitty baby might want a bit of ease with what ever you are making her.

Thanks a lot. That is what I was given but it just didn't seem right but I haven't actually seen the doll.
