Rectangel shawl for ribbon yarn

I received some beautiful ribbon yarn for my birthday and want to make a rectangle shaw. I have about 800 yds so I figure at shaw 60inches long should work. Can you suggest a pattern besides the basic garter stitch pattern?

This one is for a scarf, but you could widen it by casting on more stitches (just make sure it's an odd number):
