Branching Out Scarf
I just started this scarf, this afternoon. Not only will it be my first lace pattern, but I have decided to try and knit it using the chart, the written pattern can always be my safety net.

Hi Squeakee--I used the chart, but I prefer charts. I find I get lost much less often when I am using them over written instructions.

A tip, if you haven't used charts before--get some of the wide PostIts and put one under the row you are on in the chart, so you don't get mixed up. Or you can buy one of these:
