Chunky Wool Sock Pattern!
Hey All

I just finished up a Lopi Sweater, and I have a ton of super chunky Reynolds Lopi yarn, and I can't seem to find a patter to do that wool justice. Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Not a lot of socks made w/chunky yarn. Maybe try searching for slippers or possibly bed-socks/house socks.

Here's a slipper posted by another member: http://www.knittinghelp.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=89884

Or you could go straight to the source. Here is the link to a pair of socks made with Lopi. The pattern is for more than 1 color, but you could do it all in 1 shade if you wanted to:

The other thing would be to go to www.knittingpatterncentral.com and look in their slipper section. Also at www.lionbrand.com , go to their free patterns for socks and slippers.

I just made my dh a pair of slipper socks using bulky yarn (I used wool ease thick & quick, I think?). The pattern is called "Pebble Rib socks"... you can find a link through Ravelry, I think I got it off of epatterns? Sorry, I'm not on my computer so don't have the link right off. It's a pay for pattern, it cost me like $2. They were super quick, I even finished them both in like 3 days. They finised up the perfect size for my dh's size 8 feet.

My only suggestion would be to do the cuffs in a smaller needle size than called for, I find them to be too loose around the cuff.

Here's a link to some Drops patterns for felted slippers using bulky yarn. I've made the blue ones on the end twice and wear them a lot. They're quick and easy.
