Socks?!?!?!
I'm trying to make a pair of socks for my mom! The only thing is... I don't have a pattern, and I have NO CLUE what type of yarn to use! She is ALWAYS cold, and I'm an intermediate knitter. I really like easy patterns, but I need to be able to find a good, warm yarn! If you know of an easy to follow pattern and a good WARM yarn, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me!

Here's a link to a lot of free sock patterns. Most socks are made using sock weight yarn so that they will fit into your shoes. If you click on the ad at the top of the page you will see that Knit Picks has a variety of sock yarns. Most are wool or wool blends that will be quite warm.
