I went over to Amazon to find the book! Just had to have this pattern! I found it, then I remembered (when I saw the cute book) I already have it! So I dug it out, and found the Aran Baby blanket...and then remembered that I knit this blanket about 5 yrs ago (in blue cotton) for my grandson! Oy!

Yours is far prettier! Far nicer! I think using the double strands of Baby Softee makes the blanket look sooo cushy and soft and warm!

Way to go!

Thanks, everybody, for the lovely comments. I think this will definitely be one of my go-to patterns when I need a blanket. I haven't had a chance to give it to my friend yet, and the longer it stays here the more I REALLY don't want to give it away. But, that would be selfish. Bad knitter.
