Well last week was very busy and this week is not much better. The trip was great but tiring. Sorry I did not post at all last week. We never stopped and DH went back to work yesterday for a rest. We have my granddaughter here still and her Mommy is doing better but it is slow going. I have no idea where I left off, so I will just start again and say Hi to all!

Cute thing for you... I tucked the little lady (who is 4) in the other night and told her to "have a good sleep" to which she replied "OK Gramma, but if it's crappy I'll let you know". I had a really hard time not laughing!

that's funny Christine. Bailey's thing is catching me say '$hit'. She says; "Mommy you dont say '$%^&' it's a bad word" But when she calls me out on it she gets to say it. So now I say shoot & she still says, "That's better Mommy, you didn't say $%^&" She was told yesterday that if she says that again she's gonna get her mouth washed out with soap because little girls dont say $%^&.

Christine and Julie, that's really funny!

I needed a good laugh as I'm about to kill my tutor. I've been emailing her all day, and finally (at 4 pm) she got back to me with some more corrections. Now, I don't mind having to correct some more, but why does it take whole day. I send her my paper over a week ago and she knows it's the only thing I have to finish before I can graduate. Now, I won't try to correct today, because I've got the whole day tomorrow and she didn't have the time to read trough the whole paper, so it's not much to correct. I think it'll take me an hour, maybe less. UGH.

Good thing is, there's knitting-night tonight. I was going to take the Monterabelt, but I need something nice to knit and I'm going to work on the brocade leaves cardigan. It's still going slowly, but I'm still loving it. I hope to be able to wear it this winter.

Julie, thanks for the advice. I had it on a 60" needle and it seemed fine, so I went ahead and separated for the sleeves and knit a few rows and THEN put it on waste yarn. It was a bit snug, so I frogged those three rows and I'll do one more increase before I separate for the sleeves again. What weight is the cotton silk you're using? Do they have lots of colors? LOL on the s*^t!

Jackie, I can't imagine NOT running the AC when it's hot and humid! the bills get high in the summer, but I need to breathe!

Dustina, you were wise not to offer more on the house. They're being unrealistic about what they'll get for it! What's the other house you saw before Christmas? If it's still on the market, you should be able to get it for a good price!

Lady V, I LOVE your socks! So nice to have a PAIR of them!

Christine, your GDD's comments made me laugh. I needed it! It's been a really hard week.

Lieke, I should be your tutor! I'd get it to you on the same day! Have fun at KnitNight.

I have to make dinner for our grow group tonight. I'm making an Asian Chicken Salad. I hope it turns out and I hope I have enough!

I went back to work for my twodays a week. My stomach was in knots all day. I really need a DIFFERENT job (or a different boss). One of my co-workers said today that the department needs new leadership. I couldn't agree more! It was nice of her to confirm how I feel. She said with our boss, she either likes you or she doesn't. SO not fair to those she doesn't like.

Gina, if I could change to a different tutor, I'd instantly do it, but doing that would mean writing a whole new paper and that'll be 6 months of work. I don't want to take another 6 months writing a stupid paper, I just want to graduate.

I really hope you'll find a new job soon. I think I'd feel the same if I were in your position.

Knitnight was great. I worked on the sleeves of my cardi again. Still need a lot of knitting on them, but I'm getting closer. I'm hoping to be done before winter.

OK so do you all want to know about my trip???

Day #1: we took Boots to his boarding, went to drop off some things my gf forgot when she was here Friday, then took my DGD to her daycare, then went to visit my DD and from there we went to DH's doctor appointment. From there the day was ours! We went to the hotel and signed in. We then went to the outlet mall and got me a cute little linen dress and a white short sleeved thin cotton summer cardi, panty hose and a few pair of panties. We went from there to the Mandarin for supper and then back to the room.

Day #2: THE ANNIVERSARY DAY. Yes, I WAS wearing my Texas Hug this day!!! We went for breakfast at IHOP then went to the glass blowing factory to get a piece of cranberry (our anniversary tradition). We then went to the casino where I won $50. From there we did touristy things like pictures at the falls and Skylon tower. We then went and I got my manicure. From there to the room to get ready. Once I was ready we went to Casa Mia Restorante for a magnificent supper that took almost three hours to eat! Back to the room from there.

Day #3: We went for breakfast with the minister who married us two years ago. From there we went to DD's house and spent the afternoon with her. I then picked up DGD and we went back to DD's because her fiance had made us supper. DGD, DH and I went home after supper.

The next day I was unpacking when I heard a noise, turned around and my sister was standing behind me in the livingroom. She stayed three days with her little dog. The following day was spent cleaning.

Boots graduates his course this Saturday! He is doing really well and is a bit energetic and hyper at times but is still a well behaved little man.

NOTE: Picture #1 is me ordering my supper on our anniversary. Picture #2 is The United States side of the Falls. Picture #3 is the Canadian side of the Falls. Picture #4 is me standing in front of the fountain at the casino, wearing my Texas Hug CPH. Picture #5 is the jacuzzi tub in our hotel room, with the roses and card the minister who married us had delivered before we got there!
