I didn't follow a pattern, but I did look at a picture in an old Leisure Arts Leaflet (#935), called Adorable Babies 3, (7 Knit Designs by Carole Prior). I used the stich they used in the pattern but I didn't follow the pattern or construct it the way they did theirs. You could get a sweater pretty close to the same by following their pattern though but theirs has a collar and is made in pieces.
