Anybody happen to know what it is? What it's for?

I'd like to place an order, but I'm cash-strapped!

A lovely & delightful person here gave me some gorgeous sock yarn but my dpn's are too large to make gauge on all of my sock patterns. I wanted to buy the sock size dpns from KnitPicks while they are still on sale. Just trying to save a penny everywhere I can. Thanks!
