Converting Crochet to Knitting?
Is there a way to convert a pattern from a crochet pattern to a knit pattern? I pulled a free pattern down from a local store that looks to make a wine bag that will hold 2 wine bottles hoping I could get like two or three of theses finished by x-mas for gifts (of course I'll have to get some wine to put in them before I give them away LOL) but I haven't the foggest how to crochet even though the pattern is labled beginner. The pattern is from Bernat. Any help would be amazing.

Not really. They are completely different, but there are a lot of wine bottle patterns for knitting.

Apparently there is a book on how to convert crochet to knitting and vice versa, but honestly I think it's a rip off, since both methods are different. At least so different that I don't see an apparent way of interconverting them.

Each method has its strengths and weaknesses, that's why we learn both if we want to have the most flexibility.
