Something NEW at Vogue?
Has anyone seen this new CREATE YOUR OWN KNIT BOOK thing over at Vogue? I think it is a great concept!

They announced something like this in a 2008 issue, but as I remember, it was premature, and I gave up on the website link. It was always saying something like: UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

I'm gonna go now and tinker around with it!! You can tinker with your own KNIT BOOK contents until you want to submit it for printing!

Artlady, I see there are corrections for the botanica medalian sweater and a few others in that spring/summer issue of Vogue knitting. They are on the website.

book
I get their newsletter and it caught my eye. I wanted more information about how many patterns you could put inside for what cost because instead of buying a whole magazine for one or two patterns you can now get a book with only the patterns you want or you want to give to a friend.

I am hoping to knit it too. My copy of the mag has not arrived yet. The bookshop said they arrive in the country mid May, so cannot be far away. I have printed off the charts and corrections for the whole mag and am just waiting not so patiently.

I tried to create a KNITBOOK of my own, but so many of the available patterns (there were LOTS OF THEM!) are already inside the Vogue Knitting magazines that I subscribe to.

There are a few Debbie Bliss and Knit 1 patterns, but not as many!

I think this KNITBOOK thing will be great for those who haven't been subscribing to Vogue Knitting!

I was also wondering about the cost, but here's kinda how to find out:

Gather up a book of patterns, create a cover, then go to checkout. If it is too much, or seems outrageous, you don't have to input your credit card! Just leave it hanging, close the page off, and back out of the session.

I wonder if the book will cost the per "pattern download" price?
Or even more, since it's paper and ink and shipping.

Well, no matter, it would be less than my yearly subscription costs, which include A LOT of advertising and patterns that I'd never in a million years knit!

patterns
I don't subscribe to Vogue magazine. But ask yourself this how many knitting or for some crochet magazines did you buy where there was only one or two patterns you wanted? I have that happen to me all the time. I recently gave away a magazine to a friend from UK because there was only one pattern I wanted which I just copied. Now a book of patterns for you or a friend would be nice. Thank you for the input as I never got as far as checkout because some where in the beginning I saw a starting price of $24.95 and I think it was before picking patterns, not sure about when but the price starts at almost $25.00.
