Greetings fellow knitters!
Just found this fab site and popped in to say hi.

I live in the UK near Oxford. I'm a long-time knitter (30+ years....eek!) but I still learned new stuff here

I'm disabled but can still knit most days although I have to use bamboo needles now cos the metal ones make my hands too sore.

Look forward to chatting with you all.

hello
hi i would just like to say thanks for your helpfull video section i lost my mum last November and although i had been shown how to knit because she was well such a brilliant knitter i never really bothered. I was looking through her yarns and needles and remembering her saying none of you have taken up my talent for knitting and just having a new baby grand daughter and another on her way i decided it was time i picked a simple little cardigan in double knit and i have silently wished i had taken more notice.i did a search for a part of the pattern i was stuck on as usually i would have run to my mum to sort it out and i found this site i quickly book marked it and returned a few times before joining just want to say i finished the little cardigan and am starting on my second one..it might not be as brilliant as mums but i am working on it..thanks to your help

I am the newbie!
Hello everyone, wow what a great site! I am so very new to this and have SO many questions.
Last night I completed my first "cast on"!!!
only to look at it later and go well.... I think thats right...????
And needless to say thats as far as I got.
I am going off of books and the internet to teach me. Hoping to find someone near me that can maybe show me a little!
I have always wanted to learn how to knit and look forward to learning all there is to it!
Thanks for having such an awesome site where people like me can go for help!
Thanks!!!

There are lots of free knitting videos here on our site to help you learn to knit. Just go to the top of this page, click "View Videos" and get started! It's how I learned.
