Mercy, just when I'm getting over having a 53rd birthday and think I might have learned a few things.....

Hi Mary...

Did you know this pattern is crocheted? Just thought I'd check since it says knitting on Ravelry but it's definitely crochet on the Finnish website. If it was knitting I'd attempt a translation for you but I have not familiarized myself with Finnish crochet terms so can't help. There is a really friendly group of Finnish knitters in the Ulla Knits group on Ravelry so one of them might be able to help you out!

NO! I did not!! LOL!!! But the bodice looks like it's knit with some ribbing in the center... I just love the way it hangs and want to do something along this design to make another dress/skirt for Maddi. I want to add some neckline lace and hem lace and well....you get my ultimate plan! Looks like I may have to do some serious improvising and brains! Thanks, Lib! I'll check out the group, too!

It must be knit, the Rav page calls for needles and doesn't say anything about a hook size. And if you look at the one project's picture, the closeup of the st detail in the skirt is knit.

Ok, so I went back and checked and the pattern on Ravelry says "Neulottu" which is knitted. When you go to the actual pattern linked with that on the Novita website however, it is "Virkattu" which is crocheted. So, what obviously has happened is the pattern has been linked incorrectly from Ravelry to the Novita website!

I also found a group called NovitaKlubi on Ravelry that is for the people who are regular subscribers to the Novita magazine. I bet someone there can help you figure out the pattern

And it does seem as though it's an incorrect link. Hopefully someone can get the right one posted.
