Lost my place in the pattern, somehow got my stitches backwards
I'm working on a multi-panel afghan right now with a simple chevron pattern.
Row 1: (K2, P2) twice; K1, (P2, K2) twice.
Row 2: P1, K2, P2, K2, P3, K2, P2, K2, P1.
Row 3: K1, P1, K2, P2, K5, P2, K2, P1, K1.
Row 4: P3, K2, P2, K1, P1, K1, P2, K2, P3.
I had knitted 99 rows when I noticed a change in the way the chevron was coming out - that is to say, it wasn't. Everything up to row 96 is good and looks how it should. But I did a row 2 instead of a row 1 on row 97, and did not realize it. I continued on to row 99 and noticed the pattern was not working there. I counted my tally sheet just to make sure I was at the right place and then took out 3 rows to get myself back to row 96 so I could do the row 1 that I had missed. Except when I went to knit the row 1, I couldn't do it! Somehow all my stitches have ended up on the needle backwards and I can not knit through the front of the stitch as I have been up until this point.
Could someone help me get this sorted out and back on the right track? Any help would be much appreciated!
