Morning everyone!

Welcome Cathy to our KAL! Jump right in.

Courtney~Was your doctor even listening to you?? Like Gina said even if levels are in the low normal ranges, they may still be abnormal. Any chance you can see an endocrinologist? I like specialist MDs better for something like this. Also tell your BIL THANK YOU for his service from me too. A friend of ours just had his "coming out" party from the Air Force!

Julie~Congrats on the grade! A&P is a tough course. You did well. Hope you can sell your wheel soon. The newer one looks great.

Gina~Thanks for the recipe! They sound good! That one house just wasn't meant to be.

Carey~We stopped buying from Sears too after problems with the repair and customer service. We've bought our last few appliances from Lowe's. Hope it gets fixed for you soon.

Dustina~Kids back to school today? Have a good day!

Christine~ Hang in there!

Susan~Thanks for the updates on Christine. Nice that you get to talk with her.

Hi to everyone! Hope you all have a great day! Last night DH, DD and I got most of the house back under control. Just a few more small things to do before this weekend. Can't wait to see younger DD! Older DD is getting settled into her apartment. So far so good. She likes being closer to work and everything else.

I'll check back in later! Have a good one!

Good Morning Socksters!!

Gina~I haven't tried one like that but I found this one and really like it...I wonder if the BO on the little sock in your link was created extra lose for pictures? It looks almost to lose to me ...I was wondering how you could stay calm (you sound calm) it will all work out, keeping it in my prayers!

Ann~Have you found your house?

Jackie~Oh no she is too young for that...the n'bors granddaughter was just coming over to play but she didn't make it over there till it was too late. Isaiah friend didn't come over 'cause he went to the fair so it was just us yesterday which was nice

Carey~I hope you get your part and it's the right one

Lisa~I bet you are counting down the hrs till she is home...I hope you guys have a wonderful visit this weekend

Courtney~I agree with the others about your dr...stay on him and find a different one...Please tell your BIL thank you from us, we never forget and they are always in our prayers. (oh I hope the school doesn't get that idea putting them all on the bus and taking them to the fair )

Julie~congrats on your test and hope they take the wheel

Sue~Yeah there was some of those patterns in my pile too...some I wondered what was I thinking when I printed that out

Cathy~ That would be horrible how long did it take them straighten it out?

Chris~Have you gotten to work on your skirt...I can't wait to go this weekend and see all the kilts!

Hi everyone, hope you guys are all doing good. We miss ya!

We are off to dance tonight and then back to Verizon Wireless so I can feel the Samsung Intensity phone. If I don't like it then we are going with the Curves. Only thing is with the Intensity I wouldn't have to get the data pkg. What would I download on the phone?

I've been reading all the reviews and there is really only a half a star between the two. So we will see (driving JD crazy but this is just how I work gotta check out all the options)

Finished up the hat for the LYS and now working on the matching scarf...and then just finish up the baby afghan and then I think I'm free to knit what I want

I hope you guys have a great day of knitting

I forgot to mention this I'm not sure if any of you follow Nie's blog...she was in a horrible plane accident a little over a year ago and is going to be on Oprah today. She wasn't a knitter although she was trying it out before her accident...mostly her blog was of crafts for kids and recipe's she is always up beat and just got a great sense to her. If you haven't read it and have time go back to the being and see how it was and then how it became after the accident she has had a long road to this point and a longer one to go...

My dh thought it was hilarious that she gave me Ambien. He wanted to know if I told her that I have always wanted to be a cat. Because that's about how useless that I would be if I took a sleeping pill!

Yeah, my 30 year old sister just got diagnosed as hypothyroid. Her primary's normal range ended at 5 and the endocrinologist's normal range ended at 3. Quite a difference!

Gina: Those pumpkin bars sound delicious! I'm not much of a "party person" - filing actually does sound more fun to me! The party is in Greatwood - maybe I just tell everyone that I have to run b/c my friend has a "filing emergency" ...

Lisa: Hope you have a good visit this weekend!

Dustina: Thanks for the link to that woman's blog. She is good writer. I couldn't stop reading. I will dvr Oprah today.

Hello to everyone else!

It is in the mid 50's here today. That is chilly for the first of October in Texas. So, I think that I will make myself go through my closets today and get rid of some stuff and switch out my summer clothes. Of course, as soon as I do that we will get some more 90 degree weather. It never fails!

I'm just a little stressed. Our buyers have an offer on their house. Which means we HAVE to move! Can I scream now? My heart is back to doing it's PVC thing and it's driving me crazy. Must be the stress, since it was pretty good over the summer, but the last few weeks or so it has been bad. There's ONE house that would work for us. If you're interested, here's the listing. The decorations are awful and it's a REALLY dirty house. It would need all new paint and flooring except the tile. The outdoor patio cover has a bad leak and it has a few other issues. Oh, and it smells like Indian food. Intensely. Thus, the DIRE need for new paint and carpet! DH is out of town until Saturday night and leaves again next Thursday for nine days.

Lisa, it must be so nice to see your daughter settled in to her own place. How nice that it's not too far away.

Julie, Lisa is right. A&P is a hard course. It's what made me decide NOT to go into nursing!

Dustina, I agree, it looks a little messy in the pictures. I'm also wondering if it's the wrong yarn for the needle size.

I have a long list of to-do's today! Talk to y'all later!

Gina if the house smells and is dirty that is a negotiating point reduce your offer by the cost of commercial cleaning and painting (even if you are going to do it your self).

Isn't there a paint that is supposed to remove/reduce smells?

wheel is sold! $200...now to just save enough to buy the one I want.

I just finished doing paper machet with all 3 kids, what a fun mess that was. We blew up a 12" balloon and covered it, they're now hanging outside, the balloons-kids are supposed to be napping. Once dried we're going to paint them, once dried again then we'll pop the balloons & attach a basket (gondala) to the hang from the bottom of the balloon and it will be their very own hot air balloon that I'll get Dh to hang in their rooms after it's all done...that should keep them busy through Sat maybe Sunday.

Julie, how fun! Congrats on selling the wheel!

Gina, maybe you and DH can get an apartment for a few months, to give yourselves some time? That way you won't end up settling for something you're not in love with just to get out of the way.

Courtney, I'm jealous! Our part of that cold front is only getting us into the 70s. I'm not complaining, though, it's way better than 105!!

Chris, that's the plan! Negotiate a lower price. The house has been on the market twice in the last two years, the seller is building a new house that will be ready in January. This time, it's been on the market since June at the same price. I think they'll WANT to sell, but we'll see. I wish DH was in town! I'll look into the paint that gets rid of odor.

Julie, YAY on selling the wheel! Save, save, save! Papier Mache sounds fun with the kids!

Carey, I SO don't want to move twice, but yeah, we could do that. At least you guys got the cold front. It's still 95 here. 105 on the heat index. Ugh.

Jackie, your stuff is sent. I'll send you the tracking info.

Gina, my mom just recently bought a house. The entire house smelled like the former owners smoked cigarettes and cooked bacon all day long for ten years. She had to pull out all the carpet and paint the walls with some sort of odor neutralizing primer and paint
(she got it at Home Depot). Also, the air ducts had to be cleaned. It was a pain, but she really liked the house, so it was worth it.
