We do the same around our home... based on personality or unique features. Pandora is named because she is such a troublemaker; even for a cat. Selune (pronounced Sah Loon Ay) is named after a moon goddess, because her face markings looked like a crescent moon.

For your kitty, not knowing personality, would name her after the "dark goddess" Hecate or the "night goddess" Nyx. I have to admit, I love the name Stitches, too!

My first thought was to call her something knitting related - "Needles and Yarn" was my first choice, but I love Stitches and Purl, too.

How about Needles, since she likes yours (and has a set of her own )

kitty cat name
She looks just like a beautiful black cat I saw in a movie once, named Piewacket. Think she looks like a Piewacket?? Try it and see how she reacts.

I love "Purl". Another suggestion would be "Smokie".

wonderful suggestions for kitty names
There are so many great names. Nothing I would have created. A big thank you, have not settled on a name yet. So many good ones, adding more to my list.
