We're having chicken at Grandma's house for lunch and then Turkey at Brian's Dad's house for supper.
I'm contributing Pecan Pie & Pumpkin Pie, both are done now and I have 2.5 hours to get myself and the 3 kids bathed and out the door...no problem

Hey all! Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well! I'm home from Missouri! I'll miss working with the birds, and most of the people I worked with there, but I found out last friday that I got accepted to grad school at Illinois State University!
In the meantime, I have a new Fair Isle sweater OTN, and an idea of what my next socks are going to be... although at the moment I need to get started on wedding stuff for next summer!
QOTD - My family is in charge of homemade noodles... we don't have an actual "carve the turkey" meal. We have chunked turkey and turkey-and-noodles.
And finally, because I know you all are good about this, some extra prayers for my aunt would be great. I've mentioned her on here before: she's constantly having pneumonia issues. They tried to fix it by putting a band around the sphincter of her stomach, to reduce acid reflux, and it didn't work. Not only that, but it made it hard for her to eat anything, which weakened her immune system, and then she gets sick which makes things worse, and then it seems we get trapped in a vicious cycle. She's home at the moment, but it seems like she has been in the hospital at least every couple of weeks for a few months.
Thanks, all!

Emily congrats on the grad school!!!!!! We'll keeep your aunt in our what an aweful deal, hope she's better real soon.
Well we had a great Thanksgiving, but I think I got Katie's little cold, lots of sinus drainage and a sore throat and I feel like I have crap in my eyes too, but when I wipe them there's nothing...dang kids (aka germ toting mini versions of us).
I finished my aunts scarf yesterday. boy am I Thankful for knitting!!! Brian's step mom ticked me off yesterday before we'd even arrived at their house & so after the meal I went into the den with Brian and his dad and we watched Mythbusters. Everyone else, including Bailey & Jacob, went into the living room and played games-I was not in the mood.

Hi Socksters,
Hope you're all doing well!
We're in the house, surrounded by boxes, but things are getting done slowly. Yes, my inlaws are here. They are being fairly helpful, though, so it's not as bad as expected (yet). Yes, we had Thanksgiving dinner. Our realtor gave us a gift card for Dream Dinners, so I picked up the makings of mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, and rolls and made the turkey myself. DS's GF brought an apple pie and the inlaws bought a pumpkin. DS's GF's parents came for dessert. They helped us move for two days. WONDERFUL people! The kids have been extremely helpful!
Wednesday night when DS and DD's BF started to put in my new sink and faucet, we discovered that the entire wall behind the sink was wet, rotten and termite-infested. See the before, during and after pics below. We had foam for the termites and the boys and I did the rest. I'm so proud of the two of them for what they accomplished! I gave out around 1 AM, but they kept at it and finished the job so I could have a sink for Thanksgiving!

I just finished ordering Christmas cards from seehere.com and I'm so thrilled! I chose to do just 4x6 and added the kids photo on there and added my own wording & for $7.04 I got 30 cards.
If you got to this site and use the password, christmas you'll be able to see the Christmas card I made.
