11yr Old Wants to Learn Spinning

My 11yr old niece in NE Ohio raises angora rabbits & wants to learn to spin yarn. Where to start? Equipment, lessons, teachers? Thanks for any help.

Go to You-Tube and search on spinning. There are quite a few "how too" on using a drop spindle. Angora is not the 1st wool to start on tho... get her some sheep wool, a few ounces will do.

Remember it is called a "drop spindle" for a reason, but don't get discouraged, she'll chatch on.

Later she can mix some Angora with Sheep's Wool, ~20/80 and go up in % from there.

Angora can be slippery, and doesn't streatch so spinning 100% can be tricky at 1st.
