Hi! I just joined today after I saw the Live News Feed on Facebook, regarding this event.

I am just teaching myself to knit (started about 2 weeks ago) and am working on a scarf from a kit that my DH got me for Christmas. I have been crocheting, also self taught, for a little over a year. I haven't done any "fancy" projects with crocheting. Mostly hats for chemo patients. I think I'm really liking the knitting though!

This is such an easy and wonderful pattern! I made myself a scarf in Malabrigo and use it ALL the time!

Smart! That pattern is gorgeous, and repurposing yarn is a great decision. I love giving new life to yarn.

i'll see ya there tonight, my dh is at work (won't be home until 2 am eastern *pout*), the minions will more than likely be passed out by then (they're going to try and stay up to watch a scary movie marathon LOL!) and i'll hopefully be finishing off these socks..
