one more choice
Sounds like you've made your decision but I have one more idea. The new Stitch Nation yarn at Joann' is a worsted weight that would work too. I am using the Alpaca Love, 80%wool/20% alpaca, 4 sts = 1 inch in 8 needles or whatever your guage is. Only 4.99.

I forgot to mention that i am doing a second swatch with size 10 needles. I just wanted to let you know that I have decided to use this yarn.
Thanks borealowl I will check out your yarn suggestion also.
