Okay, I cannot help but participate in this thread even though I am just normally a lurker on this site but when it comes to sharing pictures of our furry/feathered babies I am there.

Here is one of my two very spoiled chihuahuas. This is Stitch our short haired chihuahua who is very much a momma's boy even though he was a Christmas gift for our son.

This is Gizmo our long haired 4 year old chihuahua. He is your best friend as long as you rub his tummy but once you stop...he is gone!

And these lovely ladies our my 19 y/o DD's pet rats. The gray one is Sniffles, she is always sneezing, and the buff colored one is Peanut cause she is shaped like a peanut. I guess since you could say they are my pets now as my daughter is off to college & cannot take them with her.

The sneezing could be a symptom of respiratory irritation and/or the common lung disease rats have...what kind of shavings does your daughter use? Cedar and pine are bad for their lungs. Use hemp shavings or aspen or recycled newspaper litter....the rats are cute btw. My rattie "Sterling Campbell" died around 2 months ago.

N0obKnitter-- She brought her home with a sound that sounds like sneezing but the shavings that we are currently using are Carefresh Natural bedding. These ladies are a year old & actually we are looking for a new home for them since my daughter has now developed an allergy to them after having been off to school for a year. She can no longer touch them or she breaks out in hives thus they are mine to take care of all the time now. We just want to find a home where I know they will be pets, played with & loved a lot.

The sneezing does concern me...sounds like maybe it's myco (loads of rats are infected with myco) some don't show symptoms, others cough/sneeze. Eventually, if it is myco, it will take her life but not for a long while yet. I hope you rehome them with ease, but if you keep them, they live something like 2-3 years so it's not a huge burden...

Awwww, Love the ratties. If you lived closer, I'd take them. Although I would first have to find someone willing to pet-sit rats; my mom hates rodents (she barely tolerates my bird) and somebody would have to feed them Saturdays when I go home for the weekend. Give them scritches for me!

I'm usually a lurker here too, but we just got a puppy, Indy, and I love to share pics of him. This pic was taken about 4 weeks ago and he was about 8 weeks old. A farmer dropped off a litter of border collie pups at a rescue and we were quick to snatch him up.

These are my kitties. Cupid (the black cat) is so named because we got him on Valentines Day, and when he stretches out on his back, he has a white line of fur on his belly in the shape of a heart. The white cat is Patches (also known as Girl) We got her from someone we knew who's granddaughter couldn't keep her, and being softies, she came to live with us (we had 3 other cats, one being Cupid, at the time)
