Rainbow Baby Earflap Hat

This was made using Knit Picks Felici self striping sock yarn. I used this pattern, but after reading some of the comments made by others on Ravelry I did the decreases slightly differently to create a nicer (in my opinion) shape to the crown. I also added a pom pom to the top.

I don't have anyone to model it for me at the moment, so I guess I'll see how well my modifications turned out when my friend's son tries it on I'm a little worried that it might be a little "girly" though ... do you think the colors are ok for a baby boy? I wasn't expecting the lavender stripe ...
