Vanna's glamour

Has anyone used Vanna's Glamour yarn? Working on "Glitter Shrug" shown in Lion Design magazine and so far I am not liking the feel of it. The sort of metallic thread running through it makes me unsure what it is going to feel like once washed. Anyone who has used it please let me know if I should continue or ditch it

I have never tried Vanna's glamour but I don't care much for Vanna's choice. Too heavy and not breathable.

This is a "fine #2" weight. I am just not sure the metallic thread that runs through it is going to soften up. Afraid it is going to feel scratchy. First time I have used any of her yarns.

I think being somewhat scratchy would be true of any yarn with a metallic thread in it.

Do you think it will soften with washing? I have never used any yarn with metallic thread in it.

I haven't used one either. Did you knit up a sample and wash it like you will the FO?

Now that I have several rows going the swatch itself feels softer than while actually knitting with it. I think I will go with it and hope for the best.

I bought some to make a small coin purse and I love it. Haven't tried it for anything else, but I can't stop making coin purses. Everyone loves them.

I'm thinking that metal will not soften in the wash. The yarn around it might, and that would make a difference.

Hope it works out for you! I've never used that yarn.
