Please help a newbie with rib stitch!!!
Hi guys,
I have just joined the site and am hoping some experienced knitters can help me. I am very new to knitting and trying to knit a beanie pattern for my son. The pattern is in 1x1 rib stitch with an even number of stitches. It asks me to decrease at the beginning and end of each row but I cannot seem to keep the rib pattern going. Later in the pattern I have to start increasing while continuing in rib and I am really struggling as it always seems to end up with I think moss stitch!! Do I start every row k1 p1 and continue along row and on the increases and decreases what should I be doing??? Please help as this is driving me mad. Sorry if this seems really basic to all the experienced knitters out there.
