This is the Knitting Pure & Simple pullover done in Plymouth Encore #670 Teal Heather on #9 and #6 needles. It's drying on the blocking mats...I took the heavy wet bath towels off to photograph.

Click for larger view.

Still forgot to fix the date...should read 11/12/2010.

CONGRATS on your finished sweater!!!

What is that mat thing it's laying on (in the picture)?? It looks like some of those thick squishy mat thingys they use in preschools for kids to sit on.

I'm asking because I don't any type of "official" blocking boards and I've been wondering what to use.

Thanks, knitcindy

I'm using Knit Picks blocking mats...twelve 12" square mats in a package for $19.99. They're wonderful!!! Click on the Knit Picks banner if you want to see them. Enter blocking mats in the Search box.

Looks like the same pattern I used for my first sweater. I love that one, it was so easy and well written!

I love the color, too!

knitcindy - I have those blocking mats, too. Nice!

Thanks for all the blocking advice/tips. I also learned a TON from the video about blocking.

The sweater is beautiful - I made a similar one with Encore in cranberry and it is one of the sweaters I wear most.

It's lovely! What a wonderfully rich color. And I think blocking just adds that professional touch. Great job!
