I am knitting the Rosemary Rib-Waisted Fur Vest
http://www.tahkistacycharles.com/dyn...&pb=SCFW10-016 in the S. Charles Collezione Fall Pattern Book “Round Midnight”. This is basically knit in 3 pieces. (1) waistband, (2) pockets (3) Body - {Left front, right front, back all one piece.} No seaming. I am making size M and have finished the waistband to 38”.
Waistband Instructions:
Using 2 strands of A held together CO 20 sts.
Row 1: (RS) K3, *p2, k2, rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2: P3, *k2, p2, rep from *to last st, p1.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 intil piece measures 38" from beg. end with a WS row. BO all sts in rib.
(I did this)
"Body" instuctions say:
Using 2 strands of A held together and RS facing pick up and knit 88 sts. ( I have picked up 88 sts on the waistband but I have 98 rows on the waistband leaving an extra 10 sts.)
I just rechecked my gauge. Here is what I have using size 13 needles: 13 sts and 16 rows = 4”. Maybe this is the problem. The pattern calls for size 13 needles: 13 sts and 12 rows = 4". I got the sts per inch just not the rows per inch. I hope someone can help.
