Garter Stitch Afgan Question

I found a pattern for a Garter Stitch Afgan that uses size 19 needles, casting on 145 stitches using a super bulky yarn. My question is, how long of a cable should I use to hold this many stitches? Thanks for any help!!!

You can probably use a 36" length, that will hold a lot of width, up to about 75-80" or so.

I'd probably use a longer one myself.. super bulky yarn is going to make that tighter on the cable than I'd be comfortable with. I don't know.. probably at least a 40 inch.
