Can I substitute this yarn for this one...?

Hello! On this pattern http://stephanieknits.blogspot.com/2...ince-2006.html

it calls for Mission Falls 1824 Wool, 100% merino superwash
but I couldn't find it. Instead I bought Patons Classic Wool , Medium.
Is this going to be ok...? I am a beginner knitter. Thanks!

What's the gauge on the wool you bought? The Mission Falls shows 18 stitches per 4 inches on size 8 needles. If your gauge matches that, you should be fine - if not, you're going to have to do some tinkering with the instructions or change needle size to get that gauge.

It should be close enough, you may have to use a needle 1 size up, but it ought to work.
