Needle orientation question for lace gloves!

Hello hello! So, I'm trying to knit these gloves http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...silised-gloves . While I think they are beautiful, I've never knit anything for the hands before, and this is my effort to get rid of some fingering weight yarn I wanted to use for some Fair Isle mittens, but decided that I'd better practice flat Fair Isle before jumping into Fair Isle in the round . My question is do you knit on two needles instead of the three for the lace pattern on the top of the glove (as if to knit flat) since the bottom is st st? Then for the bottom do you knit as if it's flat in st st as well?

No, you're still working in the round as normal. The back of the hand stitches will be lace according to the chart, and all stockinette rounds will be knit every round.

BTW Fairisle in the round is 100 times easier than back and forth since you're always looking at your pattern and are always going in one direction.

Thanks for the help! I never thought Fair Isle would be easier in the round, but I can see why that would make sense . I guess DPNs are still just a tad scary to me. Thanks again!
