Sounds like fun! I definitely be there at 11:30 pm Eastern time. Just not sure how long I'll be able to stay awake!

Hi!

Just wanted to let you know I'm sorry for your loss. I know what that's like since I lost my Mom (many years ago) on Christmas Eve. I was 19 years old.

In following years my Dad never wanted to decorate or really celebrate the holidays because of our loss. But I remembered how much they both put into making Christmas special for us and how those Christmases were some of the happiest memories of my life.

So I just went along and decorated and cooked and cleaned and kept making Christmas as special as I could. Before too long, Dad joined in and it became a comfort for him rather than a depressing time. We both learned that if you celebrate and are grateful for the positive influence of the loved one who has gone ahead that it will validate their love for you and uplift your life.

I'd be willing to bet that the last thing your mother would ever want is for you to feel such continuing sorrow. I'll certainly pray for you that you find peace and the will to celebrate the gift of her presence in your life. Here's hoping that you'll ring in the new year with that wonderful joy and gratitude for that presence.

God bless...

Ruthie

Right now, we have 26 people signed up for the prize drawings, and there are 9 prizes. I'm no math wiz, so someone else can tell us the percentage of winning. Of course, more people are signing up every minute, so the percentage will be changing accordingly.

We have a few new members to the forum because of our party, and this makes me a happy girl. So wonderful to meet other knitters!
Welcome to the KH Forum, my new friends!

I'll try to be here. It's my little brother's birthday, but since he's turning 12, I don't think that the party will go too late. And I'm on PST, so I won't be staying up too late to attend.

Happy knitting, and happy almost-new year!!
