Hi!

I get so tired of making the same old-same old resolutions year after year!!!!! No, my hips haven't gotten smaller and I don't have a tinier waistline than Dec 31, 2009. There are still areas of my life that need a good housecleaning and organizing. Perhaps I could be a little quicker to get those birthday and special occasion cards in the mail, but eventually they do go out!

Now here's knitting and it's ripe for adding yet more resolutions to my long, long list! Sigh! Oh, well, at least it's knitting!!!

First of all, I really do need to keep a list of what I finish for the year and I've got to start taking photos. Usually I'm working on something for a gift and as soon as it's done, blocked and wrapped it's out the door! No photos! That really should change. It's so helpful to be able to look back over the year and assess what you've created. The list I posted earlier wasn't for the whole year, it was just for Christmas gifts and I'm darned if I can remember everything I made!

But at next year's party I'll have my complete list!

So what's your new year's knitting resolution?

LOL! You guys crack me up! The wedding dress doesn't even challenge me. That is a thought though for other gifts -- ornaments. LOL!

I got really brave and knitted 2 shawls, a poncho, 2 hats and a scarf for Christmas presents. They were my first projects outside of knitting class. It was a challenge, but I got it done!

I think that being a part of Ravelry has helped me keep track of my projects. I also have a blog, and I take a lot of pictures weekly. I always share my knitting projects and make sure I take plenty of pictures of them. Knitting requires a lot of time, and it's fun to show off projects through pictures.

As far as knitting resolutions for the year...I really don't have any. I was fortunate in that I got to test knit for Cookie A, and I bought her newest book (which she autographed). I really want to knit a pair or two from the book, but I won't be able to do so until mid-June after I finish teaching and taking a few college courses.

My knitting resolution is probably just going to be to stay in touch with my needles and love on my yarn a little bit here and there.

I would be phased by that job. I think it would be alittle too hot for this climate here as well (around 40 deg c today)
